The Hyundai Ioniq is one of the most unique vehicles on the road today. It is a purpose-built hybrid, but it comes in three variations: a standard hybrid, a plug-in hybrid with 29 miles of electric driving range, and a full EV with 124 miles of driving range.*
Since its introduction in 2016, the Ioniq has received multiple industry awards for its superb efficiency and sharp design. Here is a highlight of some of the Ioniq’s awards.
iF Design Award Automobiles
The Ioniq Home Charger system was recognized for its innovative design and style. Its pure white color symbolizes for an innovative, creative life and uses the same materials as the Ioniq.

This year, one of Hyundai’s most-anticipated 2019 models meets one of the year’s most-anticipated films: Ant-Man and the Wasp. Marvel routinely uses automotive product placements within their films, turning everyday vehicles into superpowered icons. This year, Marvel will feature the sleek and redesigned 2019 Hyundai Veloster in its action-packed summer blockbuster, Ant-Man and the Wasp.
This is not the first time that a Hyundai vehicle has been prominently featured within a Marvel Studios production, as Hyundai vehicles also made appearances in the popular Netflix shows Daredevil and Jessica Jones. The collaboration between Hyundai and Ant-Man and the Wasp is especially notable because Paul Rudd has close ties to both – he’s currently Hyundai’s celebrity spokesperson and stars as Ant-Man in the film.
The 2019 Veloster is a sports hatchback with enough power and flair to suit a superhero flick. The featured Veloster’s purple exterior features yellow and orange flames, making it look like a kitschy and fun toy car. In the film, it will surely serve as a flashy getaway vehicle. Other Hyundai vehicles will make an appearance in the film, but no particular models have been officially confirmed. We’re confident that Hyundai’s sleek and sporty vehicles will provide the perfect backdrop in the film, and we can’t wait to see the 2019 Veloster in super-heroic action.
If you’d like to pick up a Hyundai Veloster model of your own, be sure to stop by Empire Hyundai this summer.
The Hyundai Veloster is a fan-favorite thanks to its combination of hatchback versatility and sporty style. However, it has been quite some time since the Veloster got an update. Buyers attracted to the vehicle’s sleek style don’t have to wait any longer, as the 2019 Veloster teaser was just dropped by Hyundai ahead of the nameplate’s next-gen debut at the upcoming 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The teaser doesn’t give away much, but we do get some details, such as the fact that the Hyundai Veloster will wield its funky three-door design while getting an exterior refresh that makes it look more in line with Hyundai’s other current models. The 2019 Veloster will also feature a stylish all-black roof, a nod to contemporary styles currently popular on the market.
Critics and enthusiasts are speculating that the new Veloster will take a cue from the Elantra GT Sport, sharing the same turbocharged engine for a power rating of 201 horsepower. However, for now, all we know of the new next-generation model is what we can see in the 2019 Veloster teaser. The rest will have to wait until we get more information when Hyundai unveils the model fully in Detroit this January.
Monthly payments on a lease are less expensive than if you were to buy a vehicle. As a result, you can get more car for your money. Plus, you always have the option of buying the car once the lease contract reaches maturity.
Easy to Upgrade
While you may be on a stringent budget when buying a car, lower lease payments can allow you to get a better car. Buying a car may have left you with few options outside of the base model, but choosing to lease could allow you to get a top-of-the-line model for around the same monthly payment.
Upgrading is as easy as turning in your old car and leasing a new one. By doing so, you’ll enjoy the latest entertainment and safety technologies, advances in engineering, and the newest designs that the industry has to offer.
Minimal Down Payment
Many lenders and dealerships require a sizable down payment when you choose to buy a car. That isn’t the case for leasing. While a down payment will help reduce the monthly payment, it often isn’t necessary in order to leave the lot behind the wheel of a newly leased vehicle.
It’s that exciting time of the year when our favorite auto manufacturers begin to reveal the newest versions of their lineup. If you’re dying to know what to expect from the 2018 Hyundai lineup, and when you can expect to see them at Empire Hyundai, read on.
2018 Hyundai Sonata
The new Hyundai Sonata has received an updated exterior and smarter standard and available features than ever before. Systems like Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and wireless charging add to the cabin’s modern feel, and safety tools like standard Blind Spot Detection and Lance Change Assist make every commute a secure one. The 2018 Hyundai Sonata began arriving at dealerships earlier this summer.
2018 Hyundai Kona
The 2018 model year debuts an all-new, entry-level crossover SUV, the 2018 Hyundai Kona. This sporty five-seater will feature an available turbocharged engine, available all-wheel drive, smart driver-assist safety features and three different levels of infotainment. The 2018 Hyundai Kona is expected to be on sale late summer or early fall 2017.
2018 Hyundai Elantra GT
This wagon-inspired hatchback features an athletic appearance to match its athletic performance. Powered by a 1.6-liter inline-four engine and a six-speed manual transmission, the 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT delivers 201 horsepower for a zippy ride. With plenty of storage, a cute design, smart technology, and many standard features, the new Hyundai Elantra GT promises to be a popular choice in the upcoming model year.
Hyundai is a brand that puts an emphasis on creating quality vehicles at affordable prices. While that may seem too good to be true, keep in mind that Hyundai also backs its engineering with a standard 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. The result is a dramatic sales increase in the past few years among the average American driver, but they aren’t the only ones getting behind the wheel of a Hyundai. We here at Empire Hyundai know of a few celebrities who drive Hyundai vehicles.
The pop star behind the hit song “Gangam Style,” PSY usually rides through South Korea in a Hyundai Equus. Quite fitting, since, according to a few YouTube sources, “Gangam Style” is a South Korean district where people tend to live the life of luxury.
Oscar-winning actors tend to recognize quality, but some, like Jeff Bridges, go beyond just buying a vehicle. Bridges has been the spokesperson of Hyundai for 10 years now. Bridges continues to drive home a message of quality and affordability.
While he may not be tearing through urban streets in a Hyundai, Tyrese Gibson has his own history with the brand. The Fast and the Furious star originally learned to drive in a Hyundai, perhaps inspiring his love of all things automotive.
There is nothing more heartbreaking than hearing about a child being diagnosed with cancer. That is why Hyundai’s Hope On Wheels program was started in 1998—to raise money for pediatric cancer research. Since then, Hyundai has awarded more than $115 million in grants through the program.
Hyundai’s Hope On Wheels has recently announced that it has $7 million available for grants. This year, the program is offering two types of grants: the Hyundai Scholar and the Hyundai Young Investigator.
“The Hyundai Scholar and Young Investigator grants offer strategic investments to help provide innovative solutions for the most challenging pediatric cancer cases,” said Scott Stark, Board Chairman, Hyundai Hope on Wheels. “By funding early career clinicians, we have a greater chance of improving the quality of life and survival rate of every child fighting cancer.”
The Hyundai Scholar grant is available to scientists who are actively working on cancer research and work directly with pediatric cancer patients. These grants are awarded in the amount of $250,000 over two years.
As for the Hyundai Young Investigator grant, which has a value of $150,000 over two years, it is available to researchers who are trying to improve our understanding of the biology of childhood cancer.
Whenever someone purchases a new Hyundai vehicle, Hyundai and its dealerships will make a donation to Hope on Wheels. Help support this great cause today by choosing Empire Hyundai today!

We here at Empire Hyundai couldn’t be happier to see Hyundai’s designs continuing to earn top honors!
The 2017 Hyundai i30 hatchback strutted its stuff at the Paris Auto Show in September but the Korean automaker has kept the model under wraps since then. Despite their efforts, the new model has been spotted testing in camouflage. While we aren’t expecting major changes outside of the rear end, the new Hyundai i30 hatchback is still a model to be excited about. Here in the United States, we know the i30 as the Elantra.
Hyundai has gone the extra mile to keep the new i30 as much of a secret as possible. They even covered up the interior so spy shots won’t reveal what they have in store. Still, we already know what to expect from the current 5-door model.
The cabin will likely boast the same available eight-inch touchscreen display complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. MyMusic functionality and a premium audio system will round out the list of entertainment features.
A rearview camera and a number of advanced safety features, like High Beam Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Smart Cruise Control, and Lane Keeping Assist, will make the highlight list as well.
There’s no word on when the new i30 will make its official market debut.
We here at Empire Hyundai can’t wait for the official debut of the Hyundai i30!
