Monthly payments on a lease are less expensive than if you were to buy a vehicle. As a result, you can get more car for your money. Plus, you always have the option of buying the car once the lease contract reaches maturity.
Easy to Upgrade
While you may be on a stringent budget when buying a car, lower lease payments can allow you to get a better car. Buying a car may have left you with few options outside of the base model, but choosing to lease could allow you to get a top-of-the-line model for around the same monthly payment.
Upgrading is as easy as turning in your old car and leasing a new one. By doing so, you’ll enjoy the latest entertainment and safety technologies, advances in engineering, and the newest designs that the industry has to offer.
Minimal Down Payment
Many lenders and dealerships require a sizable down payment when you choose to buy a car. That isn’t the case for leasing. While a down payment will help reduce the monthly payment, it often isn’t necessary in order to leave the lot behind the wheel of a newly leased vehicle.
Fall is one of our favorite seasons at Empire Hyundai for many reasons, one of which is tailgating. We look forward to tailgating at all our favorite football games throughout the rest of the year leading up to autumn. This season, prepare for the most successful tailgating event ever with these tips.
Get Set to Grill
Even when you’re gathering at an excellent place such as Gillette Stadium, a tailgating party just won’t cut it if you don’t have a great menu. The tailgating menu is all about the grilled grub, so get your grill ready to work hard. Prepare as much as you can ahead of time. Form burger patties, assemble kabobs, and chop burger toppings so that you can focus on the fun and not the preparation.
The purpose of a tailgating party is, of course, to gather in anticipation of the exciting game soon to take place. But you and your friends will be arriving well ahead of the game, so bring plenty of forms of entertainment to enjoy in the meantime, like cornhole or frisbee.
Support Your Team
You’re there to represent your team, so show a little enthusiasm! Dress for the part, wearing jerseys or your team’s colors. Hang balloons and streamers with your team’s colors so your friends and neighbors will know who you’re rooting for.
It’s that exciting time of the year when our favorite auto manufacturers begin to reveal the newest versions of their lineup. If you’re dying to know what to expect from the 2018 Hyundai lineup, and when you can expect to see them at Empire Hyundai, read on.

The 2018 Hyundai Sonata began arriving at dealerships earlier this summer.
2018 Hyundai Kona
The 2018 model year debuts an all-new, entry-level crossover SUV, the 2018 Hyundai Kona. This sporty five-seater will feature an available turbocharged engine, available all-wheel drive, smart driver-assist safety features and three different levels of infotainment. The 2018 Hyundai Kona is expected to be on sale late summer or early fall 2017.
2018 Hyundai Elantra GT
This wagon-inspired hatchback features an athletic appearance to match its athletic performance. Powered by a 1.6-liter inline-four engine and a six-speed manual transmission, the 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT delivers 201 horsepower for a zippy ride. Determining how far you can go on a single tank of gas is just simple math. The 2017 Hyundai Elantra Eco, for example, earns up to an EPA-estimated 36 combined mpg*. That means the Hyundai Elantra Eco is capable of traveling up to 504 miles* on a single 14-gallon tank of gas. That’s quite the range! Here are a few single-tank trips from Fall River recommended by us here at Empire Hyundai.
Located 104 miles from Fall River, Rockport is a town with a lot of charm. Located northeast of Boston, MA, Rockport is a popular tourist spot. The town’s coast setting makes it perfect for kayaking, scuba diving, and simply relaxing out on the beach. That sounds like a perfect summer trip to us.
Sitting 71 miles with toll roads and 91 miles without, Sturbridge is easily accessible on a single tank of gas. Known as one of the most historic towns in Massachusetts, visitors will love the antique shops and Wells State Park.
Cohasset is just 60 miles from Fall River, making it just under an hour’s drive from Fall River. The town’s beachfronts are a popular attraction for visitors. That makes it the perfect day trip for some fun under the sun.

Hyundai is a brand that puts an emphasis on creating quality vehicles at affordable prices. While that may seem too good to be true, keep in mind that Hyundai also backs its engineering with a standard 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. The result is a dramatic sales increase in the past few years among the average American driver, but they aren’t the only ones getting behind the wheel of a Hyundai. We here at Empire Hyundai know of a few celebrities who drive Hyundai vehicles.
The pop star behind the hit song “Gangam Style,” PSY usually rides through South Korea in a Hyundai Equus. Quite fitting, since, according to a few YouTube sources, “Gangam Style” is a South Korean district where people tend to live the life of luxury.
Oscar-winning actors tend to recognize quality, but some, like Jeff Bridges, go beyond just buying a vehicle. Bridges has been the spokesperson of Hyundai for 10 years now. Bridges continues to drive home a message of quality and affordability.
While he may not be tearing through urban streets in a Hyundai, Tyrese Gibson has his own history with the brand. The Fast and the Furious star originally learned to drive in a Hyundai, perhaps inspiring his love of all things automotive.
One amazing place to visit is the city of North Adams, where you can find the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, also known as Mass MoCA. It’s all the way across the state, though, so leave early! You can also visit Worcester, an inland town west of Boston that has such sights as Bancroft Tower.
Visit the Smith College greenhouses Northampton and check out the idyllic Provincetown. And how could we forget about Boston? With some of the best beer around, incredible history, and all kinds of things for tourists to do, Boston is a must-see even for native Massachusetts residents.

Sometimes when you are making financial decisions, deciding whether or not to pay off and keep your current vehicle or trade it in to get a new one is a tough choice. However, you have a third option if you’re looking to replace your car: leasing. If you’re daunted by the idea of having a high monthly payment and having to pay off a brand-new car, then you might want to consider leasing a car instead.
So when, exactly, should you get rid of an old car? Probably when the cost of keeping it alive and kicking outweighs the benefits of having a paid-off vehicle, or when your car is old enough that you’re considering a newer model with more innovative features and designs. However, a new car might be above your budget.
That’s when leasing becomes a good compromise. When leasing, you don’t have to pay off the full cost of the vehicle, only the cost of the vehicle’s depreciation over the life of the contract. So, for example, if your leased vehicle cost $20,000 at the beginning of a three-year term and $13,000 at the end, then you’ll only have to pay $7,000 altogether. That means a lower down payment and lower monthly payment, too. Of course, you don’t get to keep the vehicle once it’s paid off.
So should you keep your old vehicle, replace your car, or lease? The choice is yours, but we here at Empire Hyundai can help you out no matter what. Just call or stop by today.
There is nothing more heartbreaking than hearing about a child being diagnosed with cancer. That is why Hyundai’s Hope On Wheels program was started in 1998—to raise money for pediatric cancer research. Since then, Hyundai has awarded more than $115 million in grants through the program.
Hyundai’s Hope On Wheels has recently announced that it has $7 million available for grants. This year, the program is offering two types of grants: the Hyundai Scholar and the Hyundai Young Investigator.
“The Hyundai Scholar and Young Investigator grants offer strategic investments to help provide innovative solutions for the most challenging pediatric cancer cases,” said Scott Stark, Board Chairman, Hyundai Hope on Wheels. “By funding early career clinicians, we have a greater chance of improving the quality of life and survival rate of every child fighting cancer.”
The Hyundai Scholar grant is available to scientists who are actively working on cancer research and work directly with pediatric cancer patients. These grants are awarded in the amount of $250,000 over two years.
As for the Hyundai Young Investigator grant, which has a value of $150,000 over two years, it is available to researchers who are trying to improve our understanding of the biology of childhood cancer.
Whenever someone purchases a new Hyundai vehicle, Hyundai and its dealerships will make a donation to Hope on Wheels. Help support this great cause today by choosing Empire Hyundai today!

The 2017 Hyundai i30 hatchback strutted its stuff at the Paris Auto Show in September but the Korean automaker has kept the model under wraps since then. Despite their efforts, the new model has been spotted testing in camouflage. While we aren’t expecting major changes outside of the rear end, the new Hyundai i30 hatchback is still a model to be excited about. Here in the United States, we know the i30 as the Elantra.
Hyundai has gone the extra mile to keep the new i30 as much of a secret as possible. They even covered up the interior so spy shots won’t reveal what they have in store. Still, we already know what to expect from the current 5-door model.
The cabin will likely boast the same available eight-inch touchscreen display complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. MyMusic functionality and a premium audio system will round out the list of entertainment features.
A rearview camera and a number of advanced safety features, like High Beam Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Smart Cruise Control, and Lane Keeping Assist, will make the highlight list as well.
There’s no word on when the new i30 will make its official market debut.
We here at Empire Hyundai can’t wait for the official debut of the Hyundai i30!
