There is nothing more heartbreaking than hearing about a child being diagnosed with cancer. That is why Hyundai’s Hope On Wheels program was started in 1998—to raise money for pediatric cancer research. Since then, Hyundai has awarded more than $115 million in grants through the program.

Hyundai’s Hope On Wheels has recently announced that it has $7 million available for grants. This year, the program is offering two types of grants: the Hyundai Scholar and the Hyundai Young Investigator.

“The Hyundai Scholar and Young Investigator grants offer strategic investments to help provide innovative solutions for the most challenging pediatric cancer cases,” said Scott Stark, Board Chairman, Hyundai Hope on Wheels. “By funding early career clinicians, we have a greater chance of improving the quality of life and survival rate of every child fighting cancer.”

The Hyundai Scholar grant is available to scientists who are actively working on cancer research and work directly with pediatric cancer patients. These grants are awarded in the amount of $250,000 over two years.

As for the Hyundai Young Investigator grant, which has a value of $150,000 over two years, it is available to researchers who are trying to improve our understanding of the biology of childhood cancer.

Whenever someone purchases a new Hyundai vehicle, Hyundai and its dealerships will make a donation to Hope on Wheels. Help support this great cause today by choosing Empire Hyundai today!
